HS2 
Blackwell have been providing HS2 Ltd with earthmoving advice and support since 2012 during both the Phase 1 and Phase 2 Hybrid Bill stages, as a sub-consultant to Professional Services Consultants, Atkins and Mott MacDonald.
In the summer of 2018 Blackwell entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with the Main Works Civils Contractor, the Eiffage-Kier (EK) Joint Venture, for the C2 and C3 sections of Phase 1 to develop the earthmoving strategy for this 80km stretch of the proposed route. It is expected that the partners will continue to develop this strategy and their delivery model and arrangements in 2019 prior to earthmoving commencing in earnest in 2020.
HS2 Heave Trial
As part of our Earthworks Strategic Partnership with Eiffage Kier Ferrovial Bam (EKFB) on the C2 and C3 sections of HS2 Phase One, we were appointed to undertake the earthworks for the UK's first 'Heave Trial' in the spring of 2019. To read more about our work on the Heave Trial, Click Here.
