We are seeking an Plant and Labour Co-Ordinator to Assist the Senior Plant and Labour Co-Ordinator and work semi-independently to ensure the site teams are provided with the resources they need. This will involve raising orders for new plant, equipment and labour to be brought to the site, keeping records of who and what is on-site, arranging on-site movements, and off-hiring resources when they are no longer required.

Key activities and responsibilities of the role:

  • Co-ordinating Plant hire, repairs, servicing and ordering of consumables for several operational earthmoving sites.
  • Scheduling and booking of mobile plant and materials deliveries to and from sites.
  • Liaise with all other departments within the organisation regarding mobile plant issues / operational requirements.
  • Goods Receipt Notification for payment and maintenance of associated records.
  • Creation of Purchase Numbers (POs) using Sage X3 accounting system.
  • Booking of new people on Site safety inductions etc, Safety Critical medicals, and other training.
  • Maintaining Plant and Labour records.
  • Issue of PPE and other consumable items.
  • Arranging for OEM Fitters for breakdowns/defects/ Servicing.
  • Ordering of spares, Fuel, Oils and Lubes, Ad-blue, Water.
  • Liaise with accounts regarding invoicing queries.
  • Monitoring & recording of plant hours through onboard OEM data systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date mobile plant records, work orders, repairs, and servicing records on Microsoft Teams.

Essential:

  • Proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. The ability to filter and sort large data sets in Excel is essential.
  • The ability to work at a fast pace, handling multiple tasks/queries simultaneously.
  • Accurate record keeping.
  • Good communication skills both verbal in person and by telephone, and email.
  • Experience of dealing with both site-based and Management personnel at all levels.
  • Systematic & Logical approach to dealing with ongoing operation issues, ability to prioritise. workload and delegate to others, if required.

Desirable:

  • Experience in dealing with Plant hire and Transport companies
  • Basic knowledge of construction plant and machinery.
