SALARY: £23,000-26,000 per annum

A vacancy has arisen for a Business Support Administrator, to join S&B Utilities based at Kestia house, Knaresborough. This position will undertake general administration duties as outlined below and support all departments with a range of admin support tasks.

S&B Utilities as a group of companies are involved in all major civils and engineering sectors, working in exciting areas such as Ministry of Defence and regulated water industry.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -

  • Assisting with answering incoming telephone calls via the switchboard
  • Assisting with dealing with incoming and outgoing post, including post office delivery
  • Purchasing system tasks e.g., raising purchase orders
  • Taking minutes of meetings
  • Maintaining training records when requested
  • Assisting with hotel bookings and maintaining a record of bookings
  • Purchasing and managing office supplies and equipment
  • Inputting timesheets and employee data to relevant time management systems, where required.
  • Creating reports as per Client request within the framework contracts
  • Documenting information within the framework contracts
  • General administration as required
  • Assisting SHEQ function with OAIN system
  • Communicate directly with staff, customers and suppliers; this requires a professional manner to ensure that the business maintains the key relationships with all stakeholders

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-

  • Conversant in Microsoft Office package, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Good telephone manner with strong written and verbal communication skills –
  • Literacy and numerical ability.
  • Ability to interrogate information, particularly via IT systems and manipulate data to create high quality reports
  • Experience in administration (desirable)
  • Reactive and proactive approach to issues and a good problem solver
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to schedule and prioritise daily tasks and a high level of determination to complete tasks.
  • Able to work individually and/or with others.
  • Able to learn new skills and a keen eye for detail is essential
