As Project Manager, you will lead one of our sectional delivery teams on the Sizewell C project, taking full responsibility for the safe, productive and profitable delivery of earthworks.
You’ll be the day-to-day face of Blackwell, representing our values and mission while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is a pivotal role where your leadership, decision-making and ability to drive performance will ensure project success and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and oversee the construction of earthworks, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Build and motivate a strong delivery team, enabling all members to fulfil their potential.
- Maintain excellent stakeholder relations and act as the primary liaison with clients.
- Work closely with Blackwell’s Central Support, Commercial, and Health & Safety teams to ensure a coordinated approach across all disciplines.
- Report directly to the Earthworks Operations Leader and keep the Senior Leadership Team fully informed of progress and challenges.
- Take ownership of your section, ensuring safe and efficient operations every day.
- Ensure all vehicles, plant, equipment, and tools under your control are compliant with statutory inspections and Blackwell policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in linear earthworks.
- In-depth knowledge of modern earthmoving methods, plant, outputs, and technologies.
- Strong understanding of earthworks specifications, materials handling, and operational constraints.
- Proficient in producing resourced programmes and budgets.
- Commercial awareness with strong organisational and document management skills.
- Solid knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental law, and employment law including Working Rule Agreement T&Cs.
- Relevant CSCS card required.
