A vacancy has arisen for a Graduate Engineer to join our Engineering team.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -

  • Delivering the service to clients as project opportunities are presented
  • Input to the business development team on future engineering opportunities including acting as technical support on specific tenders
  • Supporting the development and delivery of divisional finance targets
  • Working as a team to ensure all contracts are delivered, incident free, to a compliant quality standard, within the constraints of the project programme and cost plan
  • Proactively developing and maintaining strong client relationships and customer satisfaction levels whilst optimising the commercial return of the contracts
  • Proactively developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key manufacturers and designers
  • Member of the project team throughout the delivery lifecycle (design, manufacturing installation, and commissioning)
  • Assisting in the establishment and implementation of the key project management tools such as, risk registers, project programmes and inspection and test plans
  • Assisting in the management of the project supply chain (sub-contractors, agency labour provision and other third party suppliers)
  • Identification, mitigation and management of the risk associated with the project
  • Establishing and maintaining the project programme with guidance from the Planning Manager
  • Establishing and maintaining the project ITP, including the collation of the quality records with guidance from the Project Engineer
  • Working with the Document Controller to establish and maintain the document control system
  • Working with the Document Controller to establish and maintain standardised documentation and the drawing number system
  • Overseeing the preparation of the operational and maintenance manuals
  • Carrying out quality inspections on site and at manufactures premises

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in Primervera P6 (desirable not essential)
  • Strong MS Office skillset (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Teamplayer
  • Outgoing personality
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Time management skills
